Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital has expanded services to Veterans in Kankakee County by opening a beautiful new outpatient clinic location.  The new clinic, called the Kankakee CBOC, is located  at 581 William Latham Drive, Bourbonnais, IL  60914-2435.  The new location is just 10 miles from the hospital’s old Manteno clinic location.

The Kankakee CBOC will provide three times the space, and offer new and expanded services in a modern environment with state of the art medical equipment.  All staff and providers at the Manteno CBOC will relocate to the new clinic. A new transportation system to and from Hines will be available at the new clinic and the hospital is working with the city to make public transportation near the clinic more convenient to our Veterans.

"We are thrilled to be able to open a new clinic for our Veterans in Kankakee County, " said Sharon Helman.  "The beautiful new clinic will offer them a more modern and professional environment in which to receive our top quality healthcare."

All services that Veterans receive now at the current clinic location in Manteno will be offered in the new location as well as:

  • Geriatrics
  • Traumatic Brain Injury Services
  • Audiology
  • Expanded Mental Health Services
  • Retinal Imaging
  • MOVE! Program
  • Diabetes Group
  • My HealtheVet Learning Center
  • Women’s Health Care
  • Van Transportation to Hines for Specialty Care
  • And more specialty services to come!
