Director statement regarding reporting for duty:
All Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital facilities are operating on their normal schedules. All essential personnel are expected to come to work unless you have planned leave that has already been authorized.

Non-essential employees have the OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK. Unscheduled telework is only an option for workers who have an approved telework agreement in place and approval from their supervisor. If you have any questions about whether your position is designated as essential or non-essential, please check with your supervisor. If you are non-essential and planning to take unscheduled leave, please communicate with your supervisor when you’ve made a decision.
